Last weekend was ShadowCon and was lots of fun. Got to see

internetbrain showed up despite saying she wasn't! Got all sorts of things too. synamontwist gave me "Archangel" by Sharon Shinn along with the new Elfquest series. I made the mistake of saying "I'm just going to read a few pages while i'm sitting here waiting for the rest of them" and got completely sucked into the book and couldn't put it down for the rest of the con. >_< There are a couple more books, hopefully one day I'll get them. For now they areon my Amazon.com wishlist.Let's see, got the "Art of Discworld" and "A Tourist Guide to Lancre" which is a map of the kingdom of Lancre in Discworld. Also got the In Nomine sourcebook. It's a pretty easy system...
quu kinda wants me to try my hand at running a game, methinks it is more of a try to get me to be more social and interact with people than a real urge to play the game. *shrugs* I dunno. Either way I'm reading the book and looking around. Not much else to say. Forgot to post this yesterday. Thank god for autosaving of drafts in Semagic. *sighs*

Well.. I'm another year older, another year wiser... yea right. *sigh* At least it was fun. The worst part has been that I've been sick, Truly sick, since Shadow Con. Finely I seem to have shaked it. Just a wee bit of a cough left.. but not much else.
So much has happened.. I don't know if I'll get to post it all. But I'll see what I can remember.
Lemme see... New Years was fun. Caedmon threw a party at his house, sent out a general "Come on over" to the Barony and a LOT of people showed up... even ones no one expeced to show up. Guest list included: Caedmon, Anna and Diamino, Kestrel and Terri, Tatiana and Todd, Celesta, Kat and Brian, Pat and Linda with Weston and Lindsey, Bill, Waffle, Ebo, Aethrick, Mike and Brenna, Katil, Luthor and Anyeta, Ali, and more but I'm brain dead.
The scarest part of the whole evening was when people started arriving and Caedmon had gone to put the kitties in the back bedroom and we couldn't find George. I was about to go looking around the neighborhood when I spotted him under a chair.
A Group of us played Taboo in the Parlor while others talked and snacked in the Den, Kitchen and Dining room. It was fun, cept that my allergies started acting up real bad. I think it was the dust. There were times where I had to go back in with the kitties just to get away. It was very strange. Eventually I got so tired that I passed out in one of the guest bedrooms with the kitties.
New Years Day was fun. I stayed over at Roys, my allergies no longer bothering me but my meds had knocked me out. I couldn't stay awake for very long. But Luther and Uther and Rebecca (with their daugher) had come over to watch the bowl gaves with Caedmon. I really do like football, but this was just a painful day. Michigan got their butts kicked by UT, Colorado seemed to have left the game with Oragon after the first Quarter. But at least the Illnois vs. LU game was GOOD. It sorta made up for everything.
Not much to remember after that until Shadow Con I think... *scraches head* You know my memory. *sigh*
Shadow Con was a BLAST! I had all my different outfits and the Fiends won the "sci-fi" portion of the Costume contest. (it was a bit of a strech, but no one really entered the Sci-Fi catagory). I don't have any pictures, and I'm desperatly seeking some. *sigh* Oh well. I don't remember much but the hot tubs, playing Wolfenstine 2, Serious Sam, and getting a massage from Corwin. *sigh* But it was a Blast!
Sadly, it was after that when this virus bloomed and I've been sick ever since. I got it from Kestrel (ok.. so it was really Morgan, but you can't really blame a 3 year old can you?) It was the deep, chest wracking cough. I didn't really feel bad up until last week. On my birthday I woke up with a sore throat and I had had it. That afternoon I worked on Dr. Sebeliks computer for 2+ hours and then she looked at my throat and gave me a perscription for a Z-pac. Yippiee! There are times when I really love my job. *sigh*
Wed evening I had dinner with Kesteral and Terri... which was a total blast. Then he took me to go get my meds and then I had to go pick Caedmon up from the airport. The next day I called in sick and had a major sinus headache. I don't remember much of that day except for playing The Sims and sleeping alot.
That Friday was Trac's Booger Glue Party. She has 5000 maganets to stick to 5000 postcard thingies and she invites people to a hotel room and party all night long. It was fun. We were back at the Wilson World and the hot tub. Cept the pool was FREEZING this time and the only hot water down there was the hot tub. *sigh* oh well. It was fun anyway.
Saturday was lunch at IHOP with the rements of the party and Heather and Laura. From there, I was feeling very loopy and we went to Hot Topics and shopped. I got these cool blue flame socks and some blue nail polish and a new sweater. From there we all went home and I slept until my "suprise" b'day party. Bill and Kestrel threw me the party and it was a total blast. The guest list included: Bill, Terri, Kestrel, Caedmon, Geni, Waffle, Trac, Mazelle, James, and even Lostboy and Lys from the Anime Board. (That was a total shock!) It was a blast. After the party a group of us went over to the Madison Flame and danced a bit, then over to PP. I crashed at Bill's house on the couch (Geni even loaned me her big quilt) and then stayed in bed all Sunday. It was heaven.
Not much else has happened... I'll write more later, I hope.
