CRN Games: The Shadow of Yesterday:

A friend of mine recommended this game to me. Kinda interesting, don't you think?

Not much going on..

Last weekend was ShadowCon and was lots of fun. Got to see synamontwist, ladyalexis, tatianamikhail, devlyn_moreland, lostboydv, and even internetbrain showed up despite saying she wasn't! Got all sorts of things too. synamontwist gave me "Archangel" by Sharon Shinn along with the new Elfquest series. I made the mistake of saying "I'm just going to read a few pages while i'm sitting here waiting for the rest of them" and got completely sucked into the book and couldn't put it down for the rest of the con. >_< There are a couple more books, hopefully one day I'll get them. For now they areon my Amazon.com wishlist.

Let's see, got the "Art of Discworld" and "A Tourist Guide to Lancre" which is a map of the kingdom of Lancre in Discworld. Also got the In Nomine sourcebook. It's a pretty easy system... quu kinda wants me to try my hand at running a game, methinks it is more of a try to get me to be more social and interact with people than a real urge to play the game. *shrugs* I dunno. Either way I'm reading the book and looking around.

Not much else to say. Forgot to post this yesterday. Thank god for autosaving of drafts in Semagic. *sighs*

My battery arrived today!

As did my new printer but that's not important. What IS important is that my laptop works again! Though, after I plugged it in and got it working, it started shutting down again. From what I can tell, some of these shutdowns were due to overheating. I -still- needed a new battery though.. as this one promptly started to gain a charge. Right now I'm attempting to drain it dry once. This time around I'm going to be more of a hardass about shutting it down, using the battery vs trying to use AC power all the time, and unplugging it while I'm not using it. I think one of the things that happened was a power surge. Beginning to wonder if I should thank my battery for sacrificing itself for the rest of my puter. *sighs and has a moment of silence for the passing of the old battery*

Anyway, the Exhaulted game went really well tonight. I didn't realize we were actually getting started, but awesome! Soo much fun! I'm still getting a feel for my character, I've just left her so... unfinished so far. Fleshing out her personality will be fun now. After one session and seeing how things go, that should be a wee bit easier.

Right now I'm on a big cleaning kick.. got most the den picked up. Attacked all the boxes with a vengance, though my box cutter needs a new blade badly. SOOO much dust on the anime shelves!! I might have to take a shower before crashing I'm starting to itch bad. I was one of those kids who tested so bad for dust mites that I was supposed to have plastic covered beds and pillowcases. Thank GOD my mom never did it.  The ~only~ time it ever really acts up is when I'm doing major cleaning/dusting.

That reminds me. I found a huge collection of both Spycraft/Archer and D&D d20 books. I have a feeling most if not all do not belong to us. ottom, I do think these might be yours.

One thing I got Thursday was Ani Difranco's "Living in Clip" album. It's a bunch of her Live stuff. It's just awesome! I've ripped it all to my puter so if anyone wants to either borrow the CDs or otherwise just let me know.

It feels good to finally be in control of my own body and mind again. *sigh* It's like I've been on vacation in an alternate demention or something this past week. I'm still coughing something fearce, but it's just to get the crud out of my lungs.

Ok... I had forgotten to write about this... last week, I think it was wed, quu and I made a batch of totaly homemade chicken noodle soup. It was SOO good! It lasted until Saturday when chibigendo and I ate the last of it. Today I made some more soup, this time a much smaller portion and with rice instead of homemade noodles. It's not half bad. Iwas able to put Rosemarry in it cause Quu's parents got me a nice spice rack (silver, rotates, and comes with spices) for my birthday.

Now to get more bread flour so I can make more bread.

Anyway... with the help of redwolfoz I was able to get the Godslayer page to work right with the CSS, including the calendar (which I need to edit the colors). I don't know how it's going to stay... but for now it's ok. Eventually we'll be switching to PmWiki 6 and it has built in styles. I hope everyone likes it.

Now i"ve been up for probably 24 hours so I'm going to go to bed now. Drs appointment tomorrow...

Ok.. After hearing everyone's schedules, quuand I are thinking of pushing the dates for the game back. This would mean that the planning session would be on the 6th of March and the first game would be on 20th of March.

People are still able to come over to the house and work on characters, but the deadline for starting fiction (that is fiction to raise your starting money) will be pushed back to the 6th or 7th of march.

Ok.. we've decided on the Planning Session for the Godslayer Game. It will be Saturday, Feb 28th, 4:00pm. Please try to get there early or ontime. If you can't make it, please let me or quu know so we can get you by the house to finalize your character.

The First date of the game will be Saturday, March 6th, 4:00pm. Again, if you have conflicts please let us know.

All players need to read the website for any new rule changes and a TON more info.

I finished downloading the Matantei Loki mp3s and I fell in love with Kakusei!Loki's song from his Character CD. *drools* And yes.. that's the actual seiyuu. His voice is so sexy. *sigh*

Quu and I are finally getting more of Godslayer up. My biggest job is that of editor, but I'm allowed to make up some stuff on my own. ^_^ Right now I'm trying to do a better description of The Company.

My side is still hurting. I'll do some more research over the weekend about getting a doctor then start making calls on monday. So far no one has recommended anyone so I'm just going to have to wing it. *sigh*

I've been working on coloring an icon for my friend freso and it's coming along nicely, or at least I hope so. *sigh* I've got all the line art done and have started blocking out the coloring. After that it's the shading, something I absolutely hate... then testing shrinking it down to make sure it looks right.

On another note, quu has gotten up the Wiki for our RPG. Now he just needs to put more info on there. I was going to try to transcribe his notes, but his handwriting is actually worse than mine, and that's REALLY saying something. I learned to type in like 1st-2nd grade and my handwriting hasn't gotten much better since then. ¬.¬; Also he really doesn't have much written down. *sigh*

I've continued to work on my sleeve, I've added some pics to the Gallery (in the "MISC" album). They arn't very good cause I can't figure out how to get the "macro" feature to turn on (it's for taking closeup pics, 6-10 inches).

Speaking of pictures, I've scanned in and posted some of the pics from LostCon 2. It's not all the ones that quu took, but some of them at least. Some of the names I don't remember, so PLEASE comment on the pics if you know who they are. I've also posted some of the 4th of July pics from 2003. Look for them in the "Kor Parties" album.

I'm tired now. I think I'll go to bed.

Who is Maria?

She looks into the mirror everymorning and asks the 5'6", chocolate eyed brunette the same question. "Who are you?"

So far that's about all I have. I chose the Amnesia background option to give me more points to work with. Our GM, ottom, has told me that I was found wandering around a city with sever head trauma and no memory. Apparently an assignment went bad. Speaking of which... ottom, I've got a couple more questions:

• How long ago what it? Months? Years?
• Did I have a team with me? Are they all dead? Known dead or presumed dead?
• Do I know I'm a field agent and not a paper pusher?
• Oh yea.. what's my name again? ^_^

When ottom told us of the game, I jumped at the chance to play cause I had be reading the Anita Blake series and saw a chance to play her (or a her-type char at least). So that gives you a general idea of the type of character I'm going for. I would like the theme song to reflect either her personality or her struggle with her memory loss. Any suggestions?

...and boy was it unpleasent. I SWEAR there was something living in this keyboard. It just shows that you never know what you'll get when you buy used keyboards from MicroCenter. *sigh* Right now I have the urge to pop the keys off again and start painting them.

Well... my LJ paid status just expired... I don't know if I'll renew or not. Ug... I think I'll have to now that I look at my journal. All the links in my style are to Http://lethann.livejournal.com which doesn't work anymore. *cries* life has just sucked major donkey balls today.

I've been trying to find a theme song for my SpyCraft character.. but I just can't seem to find one yet. I think I'll make a post about her later so I can gather my thoughts in one place...

Last night I was able to play in the new D&D group that my SCA friends have started up again. We're playing AD&D 3rd edition and it's a lot of fun. I'm playing my typical Half-Elven Female Ranger who's Neutral Evil. Kestrel is playing a half-orc barbarian. Take a look at these two I just found! I still like the one in the player's handbook better:
