It's been a good weekend. tatianamikhail and internetbrain came down from Tennessee for the weekend. We hung out, went to ren fair yesterday, and just relaxed. They are still planning on at some point in time moving down here, staying with us until they get on their feet. But who knows when that will be?

Ren Faire was great. Spent too much money but got an AWESOME pair of Son of Sandlar boots. Did get a cheap 5 dollar book on Illumination that I really like. It's modern illumination, but much of it is applicable and useful for SCA stuff as well.

My friend from Texas made it in last night aok, even though she ran into traffic at the Alabama/Georgia border due to brush fires. She's gonna give me a ride over to Mississippi on thrus/friday so I can go down to the SOLAR event. Be coming home on Monday, then turn around and fly to Michigan on Wed. *sighs* Soo much travel.

Now.. more housecleaning!

Ok. Here's the plan. Meet at 10am at our house and then we go to the Ren Fair. Probably won't be all say, just a few hours, peruse the shops, watch a few shows, eat food then head out. If you plan on going, either call me or leave a note here saying if you want to meet up here or at the fair. Just don't want to take off without people. I'll have my cell, which typically has reception at the grounds, and if you need it send me an email at lethann AT livejournal DOT com and I'll let you know the number.

How does heading to the renfair on sunday sound to peeps? I should have at least one out of town friend visiting, but would be cool for her to meet everyone.

quu is trying to spend as much time with me as possible before I leave on tue. not to mention cram a months worth of spoiling in as well.

so tomorrow he wants to take me to ren faire.

now, we don't want to make big shindig of trying to get people together, more like we want to tell everyone so if they go too we might be able to meet up at some point. no big "lets get there at such and such time".. just.. if ya want to go too speak up and we'll see ya there. maybe late lunch at the tea house or something.

Today was EXCELLENT!

It was hot, sunny, and just beautiful while we were at the RenFair. Quu's parents had a blast and I bought a new white haltertop to wear in the hot weather. After renfest Quu and I came home and took a quick catnap (we were both exhausted) then left to go to sixstop's birthday dinner. That was fun. The both of us managed to eat filling dinners for $16!

After dinner we had to stop by Wal-Mart to get kitty litter, and ended up getting some extra goodies along with it: a whiteboard combo thingy; another USB cable so he doesn't have to steal the one from my printer when we go to cons; new pocket calendar for me; jeans for Quu; AND a new cordless phone! I LOVE the phone. It was on clearence for $30: cordless, Caller ID (with built in directory much like a cell phone), AND built in answering machine with 3 different voicemail boxes. Quu is box 1, I'm box 2, and "OtakuVideo" is box 3. Super happiness!

Bad thing was that on our way home, Quu realized that we had just spent the money he was going to use for the copay at the doctors tomorrow. *le sigh* Fortunatlly our good friend ottom was able to lend us some cash to cover it. Boy don't we feel stupid right now. -_-;;; At least Quu get's paid soon.

Well.. I need to get going MUST finish Otakon vids.

People over.. friends visiting... yet I'm downstairs doing dataentry in a mad rush to get the Otakon entries done and mailed by monday. Oh well... At least it's enjoyable to swear at incompentant AMV creators who can't read the rules properly. -_-;;

Worse is that my LJ paid status expired and I haven't gotten it renewed... which means less userpics. *sigh* Oh well... I'll live.

Tomorrow is RenFest with Quu's parents. Anyone is free to join us, but realize that this trip is to spend time with family so we may not spend all our time with our friends. Apparently it's also sixstop's birthday. Wish we would have known sooner, but oh well. With any hope we'll be able to join up for his birthday dinner. ^_^

Oops.. Quu is back.. back to work. ;-)
