Caffeine Mantra

Live in Me
We all know it.. but I always have a hard time finding the proper quote. Soo.. I looked up the original Mentat Mantra on WikiQuote.org, googled the caffeine mantra (all of which were off) and fixed the caffeine mantra to match. So.. BEHOLD!

The Caffeine Mantra

It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion. It is by the beans of Java that thoughts acquire speed, the hands acquire shaking. The shaking becomes a warning. It is by caffeine alone I set my mind in motion.

**UPDATE** Everything has been guessed, answers are complete.
Ok. I'm jumping on this bandwagon too. Some are easy, one i doubt -anyone- will get. Stolen from [info]ottom, [info]bpeace, and others.

1. Pick 15 of your favorite movies. (Note...not my absolute favorite movies, just favorites I can think of right now.)
2. Go to IMDb (or Wikiquote, my personal favorite!) and find a quote from each movie. (or in some cases, just remember them.)
3. Post them here for everyone to guess.
4. Strike it out when someone guesses correctly, and put who guessed it correctly and the name of the movie.
5. NO GOOGLING/using IMDb/Wikiquote search functions

Doh
from "American Scientist" Vol 94 #6, "Tamper-Indicating Seals" by Roger G. Johnston:

Since the dawn of history, people have wondered about some deeply philosophical issues: Who am I? How was the world created? What is the meaning of life? And for as long as human beings have been thinking of such things, they have also been occupied by another classic question: Has anybody been messing with my stuff?

Methinks the author is a fan of Terri Pratchet... sounds like something he'd put in a Discworld book.

"He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven"

This is the poem that Sean Bean quotes in Equilibrium:

He wishes for the Cloths of Heaven

Had I the heavens' embroidered cloths,
Enwrought with golden and silver light,
The blue and the dim and the dark cloths
Of night and light and the half-light,
I would spread the cloths under your feet:
But I, being poor, have only my dreams;
I have spread my dreams under your feet;
Tread softly because you tread upon my dreams.

I changed a few of my icons (see my icon page) and I just made a new one. I don't have a "sad" icon... and i'm finding that sometimes i need one. Anyone got a good quote for sadness? The one below from Gauguin is more artistic or poetic than "sad"... I love the base, just need a good quote to go with it. Opinions?

Fall of the Goddess

  • Mar. 29th, 2004 at 7:14 PM
Dawn Angel, Story
Out of curiosity, I wanted to see what I had up as my AIM profile... It was a quote from DRAMA, a Dawn comic by Linsner. I thought that I'd share a larger portion with everyone.

..."Show me Heaven, Show me Hell," She asked, "Show me what lies beyond."

"All things for a price," He replied, "Stay with me."

"But I don't love you," She confessed.

"Then I must touch you," He told her.

"Alright, She said, the slightest hint of fear in her voice, "But first tell me your name."

"My name is Cernunnos and I will love you like none other for I have died a thousand tiny deaths and every time I died I thought of you---"
"I will show you the light of Heaven and the sorrow of falling from grace..."
"I will show you the hollow echo of Hell and the agony of being apart from your beloved..."
"I will show you the truth beyond Heaven and Hell, the spirit of man, his run through the fire and his resurrection."
"I will show you what you are and what you could be."
"I'll take you beyond Heaven and Hell, my love, for a price..."
"All things for a price."

[spoken by Dawn]
"I love you."
"I've tasted Hell."
"I hate you."
"I've seen Heaven."
"I know you."
"I've found myself."
