The world can just bite me.

I'm sick of everything right now... I think I'm just going to leave town for a few days.

**April Fools!**

In truth, Quu and I are heading to MTAC today. I don't know exactly when we're leaving, but sometime before 3pm. Everything got taken care of, [info]quu got ahold of some MTAC people and we're rooming with the director of Guest Relations so we don't have to worry about a room. Hooray for MTAC! Also big thanks to ottom for loaning us some cash to help cover gas. *superbighugs* You're the bestest friend in the whole wide world!

Gah.. I really haven't felt like being on the computer lately, and posting on LJ even less... I wonder why. -_-;; *heavy sigh*

Quu had a wonderful bday. Took him to Shogun for Habatichi and it was a blast. We had the whole table to ourselves cause the place was dead. ^_^

Before bed we actually folded up the clothes and was able to pack up all the dirty clothes in the hampers and take them downstairs. It's such a weird feeling of being able to walk to our bathroom without nearly tripping. Now to just KEEP it that way.

Tonight for dinner Quu made steamed meatbuns. Yea... STEAMED. For his bday, when he stopped at Target to get me a new hairbrush (my old one is AWOL again) and he spotted a steamer just like what he was wanting. This is funny cause we had just bought a multi-cooker (steamer/fryer/etc), but it wasn't what he was really wanting. Sooo... we're going to use the multi-cooker as a new deep fryer cause the old one is REALLY looking bad.

This reminds me, we've also got two toaster-ovens that are good. All three appliences are in perfect working order (to my knowledge), but all need a REALLY good scrubdown. If anyone wants one or two just let me know. The Fry-Daddy even comes with a plastic lid so when it cools you can keep the oil in the fridge to re-use it.

Thanks everyone!

Wow... I feel teary-eyed.

Last night I got to break my "electronic cerfew" and installed Diablo2 (had MAJOR problems), but then surfed the net till [info]quu went to work. Then I went to sleep, but it didn't last long. Grandpa and some others came over and installed the new garage door downstairs. (For those who don't know, our house is on a hill, so the back of the house is above ground, though only the top floor is at the front. In the "Unfinished room" there is/was a spring operated, single-car garage door.) Putting in the new one required taking out the old one so my blessed sleep was fitful as the floor was shaking and the sounds of metal, hammers, and general loud voices interrupted my nap time. It didn't help that the garage is RIGHT below not only our room, but exactly under the bed. *sigh*

So anyway, I just woke up, feeling none too refreshed to say the least. Then I read LJ and I suddenly feel so special. T_T

Thank You Everyone!
You've made this one of the most special b'days ever. ^_^

He's probably the only person in the world who will go out and get my birthday present yet feel like it's just not enough. *blush*

For my birthday he got me a HP psc 1210 printer.

Now all I need is paper. I've canablized some old Furcadia stuff that I never used (the RPG rulebook I printed out), so I can get a few things done. I want to make lables for the lockers so we know what's where, and I also want to make a signout book for the Anime Library. I've been keeping the settings on "draft" so I don't use too much ink. I've already printed out my address book so I can sit and enter everything in the dateplanner mom gave me. If I can find it... x_X;;

Thanks to jingoro for posting about AnsMe AIM 5.0 Cool New Smileys!! SWEETNESS! They even work in your profile! Anyone on AIM just check my "info" and see for yourself.

My server froze up and is currently in the process of being rebooted. No email, no webspace for at least 5 min they say, but I'm sure it's going to be longer than that. *sigh*

Happy new years again. I'm off to go show everyone [info]absolutedestiny's new vid.

Ok.. woke up late... [info]quu and I probably didn't get out of here till after 4:30pm. We went over to the theater to get the tickets and got the 7:30 showing so we'd have enough time to eat and shop beforehand. From there we went straight to Cosco's to buy christmas presents. We got a few, but not all so we'll have to go shopping on Tuesday as well. Got Omi a nice down throw blanket that I hope she'll like. Have NO idea what to get Uncle Herman. I need to remember to ask Grandpa if he has a dremel, cause we saw a nice accessory set that I think he'd like. They had a drill bit set, but I think he's got all that stuff. *sigh* Hey [info]chibigendo, do you possibly know if he does have one? Ugg... have no clue what to get grandma. *sigh*

We closed cosco's and went to the theater to get in line for good seats. Waited there for about a half hour+ then got in and go really good seats. The "Loveseat" right on the edge. PERFECT seats. ^^ Got to snuggle before the movie started and was totally happy. Previews were REALLY good: Spiderman 2, Harry Potter, Butterfly Effect, Sky Captain, and I don't remember what else. Unfortuantl there was also the preview for Mask 2. Ug... kill me now.

After the movie we came home and that's it. I'm tired now.. off to bed.

Um... today I got 4 emailed greetings from my dad. I didn't even know he still had net access... though I should have guessed he'd have it since he's the type to pay his internet bill before his rent. *sigh*

I guess I should send him a christmas e-card... especally since I don't have his current snail mail address.

Speaking of which... I really should dig out the christmas cards and start writing. I wish we had a working printer so I could just print lables. Did I ever mention that I found a bunch of cards I never sent out last year? ¬.¬;;; *sigh* me=baka

Good Day

Hunger, DarkPhoenix 02
Today was actually a good day. I stayed up waaaay to late reading "Searching for Dragons" on Amazon.com. I didn't get out of bed till almost noon, then got on the net to talk with [info]quu (Since he stayed home sick), [info]ottom, [info]headmaster_cid, my friend Dirtbert from Memphis and a few others I think.

Sometime in the afternoon my mom stopped by to pick up some music CDs she'd asked me to burn for my sister. You see, my sister has entered a long audition process to possibly get signed on with a Christian music company. Kewl huh? She's already passed the first cut, and for the second tryout she needs to prepare at least 4 songs. Well mom is trying to help and sending Dawn a bunch of songs she likes from various CDs she has. I don't know if my sister will even bother to listen to them... she's so unresponsive that you never know what she's thinking, especally when you get her something. *sigh*

So anyway, mom comes home, picks up the CDs and sends out out Overnight.

The rest of my afternoon is spent putting back together mom's old computer and transferring her old files to the new computer. That all said and done, I even managed to save the old games I had on there: Sleuth, Centurion, Catacomb, Jones in the Fast Lane, Sherlock and a few others.

By this time Mom has gotten home from work (approx 7:45/8pm) and we head out to go to dinner at Cracker Barrel. Dinner was good, and we stayed in the Store until closing (10pm) then went home and sorted through her old files.

We were doing that until 12:30am then mom turned in cause she has work tomorrow.

Right now I'm helping [info]lord_darkseid with his Arcadia of My YouthDVD Review.

Tomorrow I get to put the plastic weather sealing over some windows to cut down on the draft in this house (hopefully).

We still haven't gotten her christmas tree up yet. Which reminds me, [info]quu do WE have a christmas tree?

Back from Cleveland

Well, Mom and I made it back around 4:30 or so this afternoon.

So.. let's recap what happened:

Thursday Night
We left the house after 7pm (I think), Mom driving the first half and me driving the second half. We got into Cleveland sometime around midnight and just grabbed what we needed for the night before going into bed. Dawn was up with Alaina and she was just TOO precious! Kyle was already asleep and Craig was doing a paper for school (if i remember right). Soo it was off to bed.

Friday
Got up and helped Dawn and Mom with Kyle and Alaina. Dawn had to go get her hair done at 10am, so she left early leaving me and Mom with the two kids. It was fun, but Kyle is SUCH a handful. It's not that he's ill-mannered or anything, quite the oppsite infact, it's just that he's VERY energetic. It takes soo much out of you to be around him. At least Alaina is an ANGEL. Compaired to Kyle, she's downright layed back. I think she gets that from me. ^^ Anyway.. we pretty much just stayed around the house. Sometime it started snowing and by mid afternoon there was enough snow on the ground to cover most of the grass. Since we hadn't totally unpacked the car the night before, I had to go out and clean off my mom's car and get the stuff out of it. While I was cleaning off the car I found that it was the good wet snow that was perfect for playing it. I threw a snowball at the small tree the car was parked next too and missed, but it rolled on the ground and picked up snow as it went. This give me the idea to make a small snowman (not enough snow for a big one). I grabbed the forlorn snowball and made it the base for a small snowman and when it was done I carried it up onto their front pourch so that Kyle could see it out the window. Boy did he get a KICK out of it. ^_^ When I went back inside I was sitting on the couch when the poem I wrote hit me. It's not perfect, but it does describe the moment fairly well.

We didn't see Dawn or Craig until nearly 11pm that night. I don't remember much by-way of detailes... Though Dawn's new hairstyle was ok, it was sorta different how they did it. (The next day she styled it herself and it was SOO much better.)

Saturday
Woke up early and went to go to the church for Kyle's Christmas program for his Daycare. All beforehand I was following him like a shadow cause he couldn't sit still. But then when the program got started he DID NOT want to go up and sing. It was kinda funny. After his part was done I took him into the nursery so he could play and not have to sit still. Dawn had gone in to go nurse Alaina anyway. We went back in for the christmas story and Kyle got a neat little book for a present. It was amazing.. when they were passing out the presents he never once raised his hand and demanded his own present... it wasn't until one of the adults was going through to make sure that everyone got one that he got his. Even then.. when everyone was busy opening his he was just sorta sitting there looking at it. He was the most calm child up there (this including much older kids as well). He didn't open his gift till the program was dismissed and I went up there and helped him. Mostly it was just letting him know that he COULD open it. He's so cute.

We stayed for some cookies and OJ, but they didn't have real food so starvation drove us home for something to eat. We got back to feed Kyle and then put him down for his afternoon nap. When he and Alaina both woke up from their naps, Dawn, Mom and I bundled them up and headed to Wal-Mart to go shopping. When we got there, I once again had the job of chasing after Kyle while "Grandma and Momma" went shopping. At first I was nervous cause we quickly lost site of the two women, but we ended up in the toy dept. and Dawn found us. I just told her that I'd stay with him no matter what and eventually we'd met up to leave. Kyle found this little musical toy and just sat in the asle and played with it for almost the entire time. Eventually he left it and I showed him the "Leap Pad" (Which I think I'm going to get him for his 3rd b'day) but i had to hold him cause he couldn't reach it and my arms quicly tired out. We played around for a little bit more on some more toys then he wanted to run around some more. We ran into "Momma and Grandma" and stayed with them for a few mins (long enough for him to try on his new boots and hat) then he wanted to go running again. We lost track of them almost immedately and then spend the next 5 mins or so looking for them. Eventually we found them and it was time to check out. Kyle was getting cranky and the reast of us were just plain TIRED. Dawn made chile when we got home, I think we watched "Catch me if you Can" (again). If you notice a pattern here, I'm typically so tired by the evenings that i pretty much forget what happens.

Sunday
We got up and Mom and I took Kyle and Alaina to church with us in her car. The sermon was ok, it was about how we don't see the big picture, i.e. Mary and the rather inconvient pregency & inconvient cencus that made her travel while 9 and a half months pregnant.

After church we had lunch at the house.. I forgot what, then Craig had to go to work. We finished watching "Catch me if you Can" (we only watch the first half hour or so the previous time). After the movie Mom went to go cook the chicken Dawn had thawing in the fridge and Dawn had choir practice. One of Dawn and Craig's Couple Friends (Dan and Melissa) dropped there 1 and a half year old boy, Gabriel, off while they went to Choir Practice. He's ADORABLE and TOTALLY my speed (meaning sorta slow, but only cause he's thinking a lot). Mom kept cooking while I watched over the boys. There were only a few trouble spots but overall it was ok. Dan and Melissa came by and got Gabe, Dawn not far behind. None too soon, dinner was ready and Kyle was put to bed. I crashed early cause I was NOT feeling well.

Monday
Woke up feeling like crap. My throat hurt, my body hurt, everything hurt. I was(am) sick. I stayed in bed for as long as I could, only coming forth when I heard mom go in and let Kyle free of his bedroom. (He plays in there for a good hour after he wakes up before he wants out.) To say I felt like I'd been hit by a mac truck isn't far off the mark. While keeping an eye on Kyle, we managed to get re-packed up and I loaded up the car. I think we made it out of there a little after noon. Mom was crying while she was saying goodbye to the kids (typical mom, but indearing, though she was due to be back in 2 weeks for christmas). I wanted to give better goodbyes but I was sick and didn't want to pass it on. Apparently the whole family was still recovering from a bug, and either that's why I got re-sick or just cause I was worn out. Anyway... I said goodbye to Dawn and the kids (Craig had to go to school I think, or maybe it was work.. dunno) and mom and I headed out. We stopped by wal-mart so I could get some cold meds and some clip-on sunglasses (which I needed DESPERATELY!). I didn't know that Alieve (the really good 12 hour pain meds) made COLD meds too. I grabed some, mostly cause I was feeling really bad body aches more than anything, and also some halls for my sore throat. Found the perfect sunglasses and then we were off. We stopped once on the toll road for something to eat, I only had frenchfries and OJ and mom had pizza, and I fell asleep shortly after we stopped.

We got to South Bend, IN around 4:30pm. We stopped there cause mom needed better shoes and there is only one shore that she can find decsent shoes at for her feet. You have to understand that we've got a heriditery bunions on our feet (excessive bone growth on the ball of the big toe) and her's are VERY bad. That's why, even though I was flying High as a kite (my near-constant reaction to all 'non-drowsy' meds), I was willng to stop instead of going straight to the house. She found a good pair and then we went to the Bargain Bookstore. If you have to ask why I was willing to stop there, you don't know me very well. We stayed at the bookstore for a long time, I can't tell how long cause my sense of time was more skewed than normal cause of the blessed meds. We then went to Baker's Square for dinner and had a really good meal of Soup and Salad. We split a piece of French Silk pie between us then headed home.

So now I sit here (hours later cause it's taking forever to type this up, also mom was on first) typing this up, freezing to death cause my body temp just dropped telling me it's time to go to sleep. Tomorrow the service guy will be here at noon to look at the furnice and A/C and I have to be up to let him in. Ug.. it's nearly 2am. *sigh* oh well..

Love you all.. and hope that we're ALL feeling better.

Yes.. I've been a bad girl.. I haven't been around.

In all honesty, I haven't really wanted to be around people all that much, though I've been forcing myself to go out and see people and be somewhat socicable. I'd walk by the computer and just NOT want to get on... So I'd go play on the gamecube. Then I've been reading again.

Finnished Eddings' Belegrad and have been working on the Malloreain, then I got stuck since I don't OWN the series and finaly caved in and started reading the First Chronicles of Amber cause Quu has been hounding me about it for a LONG time. Then I got the next book of the Malloreain and finally been re-reading The Two Towers since I was so pissed at some of the changes in the movie.

Ahh yes.. the movie. We went with a group of people to go see it on the 2nd largest screen in Georga and actually got really good seats. Everything was perfect... up till they changed what was going on with Frodo and Sam when they met Famiar (or how ever it's spelled). From a movie standpoint, I can sorta see why they did that cause they had to create more action to match what was going on in Helm's Deep, but still... it was almost painful. I'll probably struggle with it until I see the extended version with the Director's Commentary.

Which reminds me... For christmas I got Quu the FotR boxed set and it was amazing. The only problem is that now I can't watch the movie without seeing all the tricks and special efffects. but watching all the behind the seens and commentary was AWESOME.

The thing that I was looking forward to and enjoyed the most about TT was the battle of Helm's Deep. I had chills and was even crying at points. Also, Gollum was AMAZING!!!

Anyway...

Now Quu and I are getting ready to leave tomorrow to go up north to be with my family for christmas. just cross your fingers that it goes well. *sigh*

I'm getting depressed again. maybe the washer is done... -_-;;
