I first heard this song on an AMV by VegettoEX. Even though I could barely understand the words, it impacted me so much that it had me in tears. Tonight when Quu and I were pulling into Best Buy this came on the radio and I simply had to find out what song it was. I dug it up over an AMV.org and downloaded it off the net, then checked up on the lyrics. Just.. WOW... simply.. wow.... check for yourself.. then picture it to Grave of the Fireflies and tell me it isn't powerful. Even without the Vid it's great... simply an excellent song.

Wow.. I just watched my video again.. I mean my first one that I made all on my own. I'm suprised it's as good as it is. Its nothing compaired to some really major work out there.. but for my first try I think it's actually really good. Now that I've found the files I need to get Quu to help me re-encode it so I can share it with people. I'm also thinking that I might submit it to AWA Expo this year. *sigh* I dunnoo....

quu was able to get the missing parts for my gaming computer at Otakon, it's now up and running and doing EXCELLENT! All the updates and patches are on, Quu tweeked the graphic settings on CoH and all that's left is to load my Joystick settings into the game.

I'm just happy my baby is home now. chibigendo was kind enough to drive me to the airport and pick up quu this morning. His flight landed at 9:50 am, no delays. ^_^ We claimed him and his baggage then drove back to Kennesaw. We stopped by McAllisters deli for lunch then went home. chibigendo then packed up his computer and went home and Quu and I climbed into bed and slept till 5+pm. O.o We were TIRED. I really didn't sleep well while he was gone. I dont know what it is. When we're apart it's just hard to sleep. Even if I'm sleeping during the day while he is at work, it's not the same. I can sleep then. I guess cause I know he'll be home that evening. *shrugs* Who knows??

By the time we got up, showed and dressed it was almost 9pm. Lots of snuggling and unpacking. Quu managed to get me the first DVD of HIs and Her Circumstances, he also got a commerative coin for the 10 year annaversary of Tenchi.

The Living Room looks like a bomb went off. *sigh* Tomorrow I have MUCH cleaning to do. The good thing is that a LOT actually got done tonight. After having dinner at Ru Sans (where i got the Taka Don, VERY recommened for anyone who likes Tuna, it's VERY filling), we came back and started working around the house. Quu got my computer in the library hooked up with a network drop. I still only have one screen though. I think we're running out of monitors. *sigh*

I somehow gotta find another monitor and get the file server up and running and keep burning off those disks... though wait a minute... I keep forgetting that my Gaming computer is the new "digisub" and Quu put on a 250 gig HD on it that i can just move all that crap too. *sigh* Baka=me

Anyway.. I'm still setting up all my little quirks on this puter than I'm going to play more CoH then go to bed. Weee!!!

Well.. I woke up this morning in a LOT of pain. I was coughing a LOT yesterday and I think that really hurt my back. *sigh* I don't know if it's allergies or a cold.

Worked on AMV for a bit, with the heating pad in the chair to help. I'm still stuck and not making much headway. Quu can't, or won't, help until after Otakon. *sigh*

After AMV I laid back down with Quu and we snuggled and I fell asleep for a couple hours. Got up and my back was still a little sore. We showed, dressed and then went to Mama Fu's for dinner, meeting up with android18sl and mloewnau. It was a lot of fun. I got some steamed/boiled soy beans and they were AWESOME. They were like the biggest soybeans I've ever seen served like this. And were cooked to PERFECTION! I'm SOO glad I got a big portion and was able to bring some home. I'm looking forward to eating more tomorrow... though i'm thinking I might eat some more before I go to bed tonight. Since neither quu nor I were feeling well, we didn't go over to ottom's for Dead Like Me, but rather went home and vegged. quu played more CoH and I rested and played with the kitties. My mom called at one point and I got to talk to her. Looks like there is no surgery in her future at this point. ^_^ Yippiee!

Anyway, android18sl and mloewnau stopped by the house to pick up the dvds of DLM, they stayed for a while and we had fun tickling mloewnau. He's sooo rarely ticklish and it was SOOO much fun. He's eyes were watering up a lot. *muhahahaha* Then they turned on me and tickled my feet, ARG! But revenge was mine when we all pinned down android18sl and tickled her. *MUHAHAH!* They went home after much the storm had passed so I hope they had a good drive home. ^^

quu then went to bed and I stayed up burning Cds. Got to talk to lord_darkseid and mess around with my email and such. Sent a long email to my grandma in calf and look forward to hearing back from her. I'm scared that she's starting to lose her memory though. I've explained to her about Ad-Aware, but something went wonky and she forgot she even had it installed. *sigh* I need to go out there next year to visit them. :-/

At least my back is feeling MUCH better now. It's sorta hurting now cause I've been sitting here for hours chatting, not to mention that I think my allergies are acting up. Not much coughing and a lot of runny nose and watery eyes. Took some meds for it and they are starting to kick in, so if this is long and rambling you know why. ^_^

Anyway, time to go to sleep. Night everyone and have a good start of your week!

Bits and pieces are falling together but it's sooo hard to get the general concept to work. At least it's got a snazzy opening and an ok closing. My timing SUCKS donkey balls, though. *ARG*!!!

People over.. friends visiting... yet I'm downstairs doing dataentry in a mad rush to get the Otakon entries done and mailed by monday. Oh well... At least it's enjoyable to swear at incompentant AMV creators who can't read the rules properly. -_-;;

Worse is that my LJ paid status expired and I haven't gotten it renewed... which means less userpics. *sigh* Oh well... I'll live.

Tomorrow is RenFest with Quu's parents. Anyone is free to join us, but realize that this trip is to spend time with family so we may not spend all our time with our friends. Apparently it's also sixstop's birthday. Wish we would have known sooner, but oh well. With any hope we'll be able to join up for his birthday dinner. ^_^

Oops.. Quu is back.. back to work. ;-)

Good news is that all the mailed in entries for ACen are done. Quu has been working on the bulk of the videos which were all FTP submissions. Now I'm working on FAnime Mailed in Submissions.

I woke up nice and slow this morning and what do I find? Our hangers on playing DDR. x_X; I just woke up... and they are playing ddr?! Granted it IS 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Oh well...

My server froze up and is currently in the process of being rebooted. No email, no webspace for at least 5 min they say, but I'm sure it's going to be longer than that. *sigh*

Man... Thanks to quu for posting that Winamp Playlist/Videos... I've been getting a bunch of songs and such from WinMX and I'm having a Blast. I'm finding a lot of stuff that we didn't even have before. ^^ Yippiee!

Hrm.. I was wondering if someone could help me place a song? It came out around 2002 or before and it was talking about how this guy was toasting to his ex at her wedding or something... Ugg.. I dunno.. I wanted to say it was Oasis' Champagne Supernova but it's not... -_-;; I think the name is similar.. Ahh! Nevermind... it's Sister Hazel's Champagne High... -_-; *sigh*

One of the Music Videos on quu's playlist thingy is Rob D's Clubbed to Death... God that's a good song. But the Video was weird. Cool... seriously cool... but weird. I think it's about going against the flow and becoming who you want to be... but I have no idea. Besides.. everytime I hear this song I keep seeing that awesome Kite AMV. o_O I must say that after watching that video I feel I never really need to see the acutal movie cause it tells the story soo well. I love it.

Heh.. Sebastion just jumped in my chair with me.. but he's not really wanting me to pet him.. weird. He also missed the first time... luckly I'm curled up in a way that he wasn't on me. He's good about that...something to do with quu throwing him across the room the last time the cat clawed him when he missed... But that was a LONG time ago. ^^

Anyway.. off to bed for me.

I dunno if I can do this. Found out that my machine WILL run premier so it's now installed. Quu ran me through the gauntlet with it and vituraldub. it's 6am and my brain is totally fried.

I've started to redo the vid.. but something is wrong. even though I'm usuaing the same footage, and have hit on the same beats... I'm running short on footage in one particular aread. I guess I'll have to hunt down some more clips to throw in there.. but GEEZE this is a pain in the ass.

Maybe I should look for something that I have more inspiration for. x-x I dunnoo..

Well.. I've started on my first AMV. It's Last Exile to Inama Nushif by Brian Tyler (from the Children of Dune OST)

It's not that good... mostly cause I'm using Windows Movie maker and it's just soo limited. *sigh* Just about all the footage is from the first ep but it actually worked well. *sigh* oh well...


ARG I want the next ep of Loki!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *cries* (Like my new Loki icon?)

Right now Quu and I are sitting in the free internet cafe at Fanime. It's ok.. these are linux machines and are totally weird. The actual AMV contest and the Iron Chef are all done, Quu is totally wiped out. He's checking his email and talking outloud. ^_^ It's funny.

I'm exhausted but doing good. It's been enjoyable, but since I don't know anyone here it's not that much fun. Seeing all the costumes makes me want a sewing machine so I can work on my Quistis outfit. *sigh* oh well.

Khet... I saw someone with a costume of the Clover outfit you have. It wasn't half a cool though. ^_^

I miss everyone and wish you all were here.

Let's see.. we left thurs morning and got here that afternoon. The plane ride was really cool, since we flew on Jet Blue. It's an awesome airline that really treats everyone excellently. They have little digital screens inthe backs of all the seats and give everyone headphones so you can watch SATALITE TV! I slept for half the trip to Calf.

When we got into Oakland, Scott, the guy who brought us out here, was there to pick us up and drive us to the hotel.

OMG! the hotel is AWESOME!!!! The BEDS are INCREDABLE! FEATHER PILLOWS! DOWN COMFITOR! Thick plush comfitor! FEATHER PILLOWS!!! ^_^ I laid down and sunck into the bed and almost immedatly fell asleep. I slept for like 16 hours after we got here.

Friday was good. I didn't get up until the afternoon, went down to Main Events to see what Quu and the others were doing (finishing setting up). Ate lunch. Browsed the Dealers room, then IRON CHEF!

Iron Chef was good. ErMac vs DokiDoki; Theme: GUNS; Seceret Ing.: Lupin III, Castle of Caligistro(sp). DokiDoki won hands down.. it was good. ^_^

Afterwards we went to Benigins with Dave Merill and other Industry people for dinner. It was good. I was able to buy alcohal (though they didn't card me :-p) and felt better afterwards.

Hrm.. that's it for now.. I'll write more later. ^_^

AWA is finally over.
It was fun.
It was work.

Next year I'll be VAT staff, but first.. a 2 week seclusion.

Finished filling out the application for reiaino's employer. Now I just need to get it back to her. I hear she's sick.. and it sounds like what Quu and I had. Ug.. it's really going around now. Thanks Dragon*Con. :-(

I've been going around AMV.org today... commenting on AMVs I'd seen and so forth. Found out that the infamous jbone had done the horrid Dorthy/mime vid and gave him a piece of my mind. During Dragon*Con I got to hear all sorts of things while Nathan and Quu talked shop. Needless to say, his presence at AWA will provide me with much amusement. I will have to refrain from booing when the Dorthy vid comes up.

Paid homage to Vlad. ^_^ Must refrain myself from drooling over him when he stays with us for AWA.

Quu sent me Brad's flight info and it's now been entered on the calendar. I chatted with kitty_minako and got her info as well. Now all we need is someone flying in on the 23rd (that monday) and the 22nd (Sunday) and we'll be picking someone up from the airport everyday for the week leading up to AWA. (Ok.. so maybe not a FULL week....)

We've currently got 4-6 people staying with us leading up to AWA. kitty_minakoarrives on Saturday (21st), Brad on Tuesday (24th), Vlad on Wednesday (25th), and then we're off to the hotel on that Thrusday. Sometime Robin is supposed to show up at the house, but I don't know when. Nathan said he might show up and kamatarichan may or may not be staying with us before the con.
Last night I took some sleeping pills at 10pm, so I was out by midnight. This morning I woke up when Quu went to work and actually stayed up. Now my big problem is just losing track of time. I need to finish cleaning out my room. *sigh* oh well...

Ok.. so why am I bitching so much right now? Cause I want to get it all out and just vent. After venting I can feel better. ^_^

Ok.. if I don't start working on this AMV soon I'm going to go bonkers.

Last night lord_darkseid gave me the great idea of using "Now and Then, Here and Now" into my vid, since it's about as whacked out as you can get and fits the song PERFECTLY. Since then, my brain has been going a million miles a minute.

I'm hoping it will go well. Using footage from Nightmare Campus, Kojo Demon Warrior, and then Now & Then, Here & Now to the song "Down with the Sickness" by Disturbed (Song Lyrics are here: http://www.livejournal.com/talkread.bml?journal=lethann&itemid=118894 ).

Things are starting to develop in my head. As soon as we get a computer that I can work on I'll be giving it a go. Thankfully I'll have Quu to help me learn the software and exactly what needs to be done. Even then... I'm sure that this is going to totally suck... *sigh* oh well..

From now on all my AMV entries, aside from side comments in my main entries, will be posted in my AMV.org journal. Seems only fitting.
