Looking for a song

Ok. I'm going nuts. I'm trying to find a song I used to really like. It's from circa 1998. All I can remember is the visuals for the music video. It's in like blue sepia tones and starts out with a guy (i think bald) walking towards the camera, then he splits in two and you follow the two different paths he takes. There's a scene in a cafe and one at a bus stop where I think there's this old lady. It aired on at least MTV and I think VH1. It's sorta alternative and has a sound like Matchbox 20, Goo Goo Dolls, Jars of Clay.

My friend rhast somewhat remembers it, but like me can't place the song at all. Please someone remember what this song is and tell me! It's driving me CRAZY!
